Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: It is much nicer than most of the facilities in the area. The reception and the room quite meets international standards for a 3-4 star hotel that you would expect. It looks very much like a European hotel should look like, which is already an accomplishment.

Negative: All the little things: thin pillows, no blanket on the bed (you have to look for it in the closet), air conditioning is there but it's not that good, the soviet-style breakfast is very poor (boiled eggs, instant coffee, porrige, rye bread, cheese and Russian salami). Also, I was contacted by the staff a week before my stay, and was informed that I have to pay more than my reservation says, because of the high season! I ended up paying less, because it appeared that I initially reserved a family room that I didn't need, and they had standard rooms much cheaper. But the whole situation is just plain wrong. I also had a door into the next room, which wasn't locked because the staff couldn't find the key. I believe someone was staying in this room, but was decent enough not to visit me in the middle of the night 😁
